چکیده

The structure–property relationship of catalytic supports for the deposition redox-active transition metals is great importance improving efficiency and reusability catalysts. In this work, role alumina support precursors Cu-Fe/Al2O3 catalysts used total oxidation toluene as a model volatile organic air pollutant elucidated. Surface characterization revealed that surface area, pore volume acid site concentration are important but not determining factors activity studied type reaction. structural order precursor, homogeneous distribution sites reducibility, which were elucidated by XRD, NMR, TEM temperature programed reduction (TPR). Cu–Fe/Al2O3 prepared from bayerite pseudoboehmite highly ordered showed better performance compared to derived amorphous precursor dawsonite. Homogeneous FexOy CuOx with defined Cu/Fe molar ratio on Al2O3 required efficient material. study beneficial effect low iron introduced into during synthesis procedure, resulted in metal oxide support.

An XPS study of CrOx on a thin alumina film and in alumina supported catalysts

We have investigated chromium layers evaporated onto a thin alumina film at room temperature. The oxidation and reduction behavior of this model catalyst was compared to atomic layer deposition (ALD) and impregnated alumina supported catalysts using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) with a detailed analysis method utilizing asymmetric peak shapes to represent both metallic and oxidic state...

Preparation and structure of alumina supported niobia model catalysts

Niobia/alumina model catalysts were prepared by physical vapor deposition of Nb in an oxygen atmosphere onto thin alumina films. Structural characterization, performed with scanning tunneling microscopy and infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy, revealed highly dispersed N2O5 nanoparticles exposing Nb=O groups. Thermal stability of the system was also examined. The results are compared wi...

Property and Performance of CuO/γ-Alumina Nanocomposites for the Oxidation of Volatile Organic Compounds

Copper oxide supported on γ-alumina nanoparticles were prepared and were well characterized. In this study catalytic activities of the supported copper oxide for oxidation of cyclohexene to 2-cyclohexene-1-ol, 2-cyclohexene-1-one and cyclohexene oxide with TBHP and H2O2 as the oxidant, in the liquid phase were considered. For the CuO/γalumina nanocomposites, acetonitrile as the solvent was empl...

'H MAS NMR Studies of Alumina-Supported Metal Oxide Catalysts

The interactions of two-dimensional vanadium oxide and molybdenum oxide overlayers with the surface hydroxyls of an alumina support were examined with 'H MAS NMR spectroscopy. The measurements demonstrated that these surface metal oxide overlayers are homogeneously distributed over the alumina surface and essentially titrate all the accessible surface hydroxyls at monolayer coverage. The invest...
